The Peninsula Cancer Academy provides a central hub for education and development for the Cancer workforce within Devon and Cornwall. The key aim is to transform cancer care through the education, training and development of cancer professionals.
Fundamentally, the Cancer Academy functions as a digital hub dedicated to cancer education within the Peninsula region. Its principal purpose is to meet the needs of the cancer workforce by underpinning the principles of the of the NHS People Plan and the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan, particularly concerning cancer care.
The Academy's core mission revolves around the standardisation and sharing of training, education, and career progression routes for non-medical professionals working across various healthcare settings in order to deliver the highest quality cancer training and education, always with the patient at the heart of everything we deliver.
We have specific educational content for each cancer sub-specialty, tailoring programs to address the unique requirements of the cancer workforce.
